Spring Turns to Summer

Here we are again, changing seasons. Time just keeps flying by.  We are so happy when it gets warm enough to get outside and play.  I think that those are the days that we play the hardest as we have missed it so much.  By the time summer is coming to an end we are beginning to slow down as well.  At least for us.  I find that we do so much in May and June and not much in August.  Maybe that is just how we feel. Here is some of the fun that we have had!

These boys are so stinkin' adorable in those sunglasses and boy ties.  Baylor wore this outfit to church on mothers day, including his snakeskin boots, and I just laughed so hard at how cute he was all day.  I think that made my day best of all!

At the beginning of our time at the lake the fish are trying to swim up the stream.  So they are so fun to catch, even with bare hands.  Sometimes the kids have little nets, but this one Elliette really did catch with only her hands and that little bucket.  They love to do that!
Uncle Todd is the best!
One of our favorite things is it warming up and bringing Nana home to visit!  Everything is more fun with Nana around.  I guess that we are playing too hard to take many pictures of it though, oops!
This goofball!

Fun at Heritage Park!
Dawsyn had a great year of Piano with Sharee Hamilton.  She is the best teacher and is always so positive and encouraging.  Dawsyn really learned a lot this year, and rocked her recital, being one of the only ones to memorize her piano pieces.  Great work, Dawsyn!

Time with Reggie and uncle Turner coming to play is always fun.  We had some bike rides, great visits, park time, backyard playing, fort building and many times of overwhelming little Reggie with our craziness and too much love!

Playing spikeball.  A great backyard workout.

Enjoying our backyard pool!

Kyndal got her haircut, with new bangs!  She is looking so grown up!
This was one of the days in the spring that I was so appreciative that we homeschool!  We did a bit of work and then got out on our bikes and explored the creek.  The girls went off upstream exploring, while I sat and watched these boys learn and play together.  It was magical!  These moments make all of the hard and crazy worth it!

Deakin learned to push the button on my keys that make the van beep.  He thought this was pretty amazing!
Baylor was tall enough to drive the go carts at Shakers.  It was hilarious to watch him drive.  He could barely reach the pedal and so went really slow.  He also was often watching the other cars and so was swerving all over the place.  I guess good experience to get now while he is so small.  It was fun to watch!

Marshall finished his last page of math in grade 1!  After this he jumped up and down, shouting that he is now in grade 2!  It was pretty cute! I love being a part of these moments!

Turning 9 and Spring!

Dawsyn has turned 9!  She wanted Lego people for her birthday, so we had them all on her cake.  It is always fun to combine cake and presents together!  We had a fun party for Dawsyn with her friends at Laser Tag, then back home for pizza and cake.  It was great fun for everyone!

At the zoo visiting the butterflies.

These girls are so funny!  I have no idea why the had to be fat to play this game, I think that it was unrelated.  But so funny to stumble upon these girls dressed up like this playing a game.

Some springtime fun playing at Grandma and Grandpa's house!

We went to see the play of The Secret Garden by Theater Calgary.  It was great fun to do together.

Having some time wrestling with Daddy!
